Autopsy

"Autopsy" is an interactive installation that reconstructs my late, estranged father’s desk based on my memories, offering a glimpse into the process of sifting through his belongings after his passing. The installation combines objects, audio-visual, and digital elements, allowing viewers to engage with the space by snooping through drawers, exploring his digital footprint, and listening to recordings.

The work invites the audience to experience the fragmented, often distorted nature of memory, particularly in the wake of grief and trauma. Through these interactions, "Autopsy" explores themes of loss, hoarding, collection, betrayal, and how memories shift over time. It becomes a space for reflecting on the complexities of personal history, the weight of objects, and the ways in which we reconcile with the past.

By allowing others to engage with these intimate, personal fragments, I hope to offer insight into the emotional landscape of memory and loss—one that is clouded, shifting, and deeply personal. Ultimately, "Autopsy" serves as a meditation on how we remember and how time reshapes our understanding of both the people we’ve lost and the lives they left behind.
