The Reclaim is a fashion collection that challenges narratives and stereotypes associated with Black identity. Rooted in the clothing I grew up wearing in the Bronx, this project explores how perceptions of professionalism and formality shift depending on the race of the wearer. Through typography on T-shirts and reimagened , hoodies, jeans, durags, and fitted caps , I'm reclaiming words and phrases like "aggressive" that have been weaponized against me and others in Black community. This collection is my personal twist on streetwear, celebrating the culture while questioning the biases that shape how we are seen.
