Looping Curiosity

"Looping Curiosity" is a collection of objects rooted in spontaneity and playful experimentation, celebrating & emphasizing an abstract exploration of tactile materials and form. This collection unites clay, metal, and silkscreen printing. Each medium asserts its unique voice while relating to a collective.

Inspired by the energetic exuberance of Claes Oldenburg’s "The Store", this project embraces spontaneity, encouraging whimsy to lead the creative process. Each piece emerges through experimentation, shaped as much by material resistance as intention. My intent is to craft a distinct work in each medium, revealing an array of shapes and textures. This collection is infused with influences from Dadaism, Surrealism, and Pop Art as well as astounding artists including Oldenburg, Sol LeWitt, and Robert Smithson.

With imagery derived from lived experiences, I approached this collection with curiosity towards materials and the entropy of nature. "Looping Curiosity" celebrates the joy of intuitive creativity and the allure of unexpected outcomes.
