EchoLocation

"EchoLocation" is a healing toolkit for those who fear falling behind, inviting them to slow down, rediscover self-trust, and embrace the messiness of life. Through personal reflection, therapist interviews, and research on productivity anxiety, I explored how societal pressure to “keep up” distorts our relationship with time and self-worth. The toolkit follows Echo, a blue figure with jagged horns who acts as a gentle guide, leading users through eleven illustrated interactive objects such as a journal, an hourglass, and a card deck that encourage playfulness, curiosity, and self-compassion. I chose a childlike aesthetic to evoke the freedom we had as kids—unhurried, unselfconscious, and trusting that exploration itself is progress. Each piece is designed as an empathetic nudge, reminding users of what they already know deep down: you have time, and you are exactly where you need to be.
