Growing Pains

"Growth Pains" is a project created to nurture and heal our collective inner-child—the part of us that holds our truest self, yet is often buried beneath the layers we build to navigate the weight of growing up. When we lose connection with this vital aspect of ourselves, we risk drifting away from our authenticity, imagination, and emotional truth.

Both children and adults are invited to reconnect with the playful, curious, and imaginative parts of themselves by interacting with my books and collectible toys. Alongside the books, I’ve created "Mounstritos", a series of small and bizarre monster toys, each 3D printed and hand painted. Named after the Spanish word for “tiny monsters,” these collectible toys serve as reminders to embrace the weirdness we often suppress.

Through this show, I hope to create a space where our inner child feels seen, accepted, and free to exist, without shame, without rules, just as we once were.
